The Moon · Card Meaning

In moonlight, everything looms a size larger than it is. The things you fear are mostly shadows the moon has magnified.

Upright
The Moon soaks the world in a layer of silver mist — you can see everything, and yet nothing clearly. This card is about illusion, unease, and the fears that surface in the middle of the night. Things may not be as bad as you think, nor as clear. Don’t make big decisions in the fog. Walk that path slowly, trust your intuition — the day will break.
Reversed
The fog is lifting. The reversed Moon is the truth surfacing bit by bit — you’re starting to tell apart what’s fact and what’s you scaring yourself. The unease that clung to you for so long is loosening. Once you see clearly, you’ll breathe out: it wasn’t so terrifying after all.
This card in love
There are unspoken, unclear parts in the relationship. Don’t rush to conclusions, and don’t fill every blank with imagination.
What the card shows
A path runs from a pool, between two towers, into hills — and the picture stops before you can see where it goes. A dog and a wolf howl at the same moon; a crayfish is half out of the water. Nothing here is fully one thing or the other. Even the moon has a face inside a face.
Work & money
Ambiguity you cannot resolve by working harder. Unclear briefs, a colleague whose motive you keep guessing at, numbers that do not sit right. This card advises against committing to an interpretation while the light is this bad — and against ignoring how uneasy you feel.
How someone sees you
They see you as intriguing and slightly hard to read — and they are partly making you up. Projection runs high around this card. You are receiving a version of their imagination as much as their attention.
Yes or no?
Unclear. Not a no — an honest not-enough-information. Wait for daylight.
The advice
Write down the fear in specific sentences. Most of it does not survive being made specific.
